快速成型制造技術,英文:RAPID PROTOTYPING,簡稱RP技術; 是二十世紀九十年代發展起來的一項制造技術,對促進企業產品創新、縮短新產品開發周期、提高產品競爭力有積極的推動作用。自該技術問世以來,已經在發達國的制造業中得到了廣泛應用,并由此產生一個新興的技術領域。
Rapid prototyping (RP) is an advanced manufacturing technology developed in the 1990s, which plays a positive role in promoting product innovation, shortening the development cycle of new products and improving product competitiveness. Since the technology came out, it has been widely used in the manufacturing industry of developed countries, and a new technology field has emerged.
外觀設計很多產品特別是家電產品和汽車等對外形的美觀和新穎性要求極高。傳統檢驗外形的方法是將產品圖形顯示于計算機終端,但經常發生“畫出來好看而做出來不好看”的現象。采用RP技術可以很快做出原型,供設計人員和用戶審查,使得外形設計及檢驗更直觀有效快捷。
The appearance design of many products, especially household appliances and automobiles, has high requirements for the appearance of beauty and novelty. The traditional method of shape inspection is to display the product graphics on the computer terminal, but the phenomenon of "drawing looks good but making looks bad" often occurs. Using RP technology can quickly make the prototype for designers and users to review, making the shape design and inspection more intuitive, effective and fast.
設計檢查以模具制造為例,傳統的方法是根據幾何造型在數控機床上加工,這對于一個價值數十萬乃數百萬元的復雜模具來說風險太大,設計上任何不慎反映到模具上就是不可挽回的損失。RP方法可在開模前真實而準確地制造出零件原型,設計上的各種細微特征和錯誤就能在模型上一目了然地顯示出來,這就大大減少了修模和開模風險。
Design inspection takes mold manufacturing as an example. The traditional method is to process on the numerical control machine according to the geometric modeling, which is too risky for a complex mold worth hundreds of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of yuan. Any careless reflection on the design to the mold is an irreparable loss. RP method can truly and accurately produce prototype parts before mold opening, and all kinds of subtle features and errors in design can be clearly displayed on the model, which greatly reduces the risk of mold repair and mold opening.
功能測試設計者可以利用原型快速進行功能測試以判明是否滿足設計要求,從而優化產品設計。如風扇、風鼓等的設計,可獲得非常好的扇葉曲面、低噪音的結構等。

裝配干涉檢驗在有限空間內的復雜系統,對其進行裝配干涉檢驗是極為重要的。原型可以用來做裝配模擬,觀察工件之間如何配合、如何相互影響。如汽車發動機上的排氣管,由于安裝關系極其復雜,通過原型裝配模擬可以一次成功地完成設計。
Assembly interference inspection is a complex system in limited space, so it is very important to carry out assembly interference inspection. Prototype can be used for assembly simulation to observe how the workpieces cooperate and interact with each other.
